Merry Boy
Limited Edition of 500 Signed/Numbered Prints

Merry Boy & Wilson's Allen are the two great stallions that virtually all Waking Horses are traced back to.  Merry Boy's greatest contribution to the breed was siring great producing mares which furthered the development of the breed.

Witnesses to the only show Merry Boy competed in said that few horses that ever lived could perform a more perfect running walk that he exhibited that night. His get were noted for their airy way of moving, their flashy colors and high spirits.Merry Boy, like all Black Roan Tennessee Walking horses, was typical of looking black stallion with a few white hairs sprinkled throughout his coat.  As a native of Jackson, TN, the walking horse industry had many of it's great roots here, and I have had the pleasure of learning about this great horse first hand from peoples accounts of seeing this magnificent sire while he was still living.  This is an historical and accurate portrayal of one of Tennessee Walking Horse's greatest sires.

Merry Boy sired such greats as:
Old Glory, Wilson's Merry Boy, Black Angel & Merry Go Boy.
He also had the distinction for siring great producing mares.
Tennessee Walking Horses are known as the "Gentleman of the Equines"
